Ufffff cannot reach Lingshed. Day 8.
We left our home stay by 10:30 had our breakfast at Padum. And the road was repaired but it turned into a big deep water crossing. It was quite adventurous and you should have seen the smile on my face while I crossing it. We met some guys from Hyderabad who were going back from Padum. They inquired about the road to Kargil. And we parted ways afterwards. We than rode for another 4 hours and got to a tea stall as we were riding along the Zanskar River. The roads were quite narrow and there were no barricades between the road and the river. One small mistake and game over.
The Tea stall
The sky looks very beautiful from here. Some pictures of Shinkhu La. Pictures cannot define how beautiful this pass is actually is.
After crossing Shinkhu La we came to another pass and there was a sign board which said 295 Kms to Leh and we took the opposite route to Lingshed. We rode for another 2 hours and came across a small village and decided to spend the night there. That homestay costed us 3k for 2 adults. The temperature was about 15-17 degree still cold but the sun made everything great.
